A Different Desert Experience at ATID BAMIDBAR
ATID BAMIDBAR offers groups and individuals visiting the Negev educational tourism experiences integrating spiritual and Jewish study, creative arts workshops, encounters with Yeroham’s multi-cultural community, and tours in the area: the Yeroham Lake, the Large Makhtesh, and more.

Try us for an unforgettable sensory and intellectual reconnecting to roots, Jewish sources and the desert!

  Moroccan Jewish Piyutim
Piyut series on Moroccan Jewish bakkashot, in preparation for Shabbat Bakkashot Parashat Vayehi (Jan. 10, 2009).

  Merkaz Tzair
Merkaz Tzair Mentors organize Hannukah party in Retamim and Telalim Immigrant Absorption Centers in Ramat Negev, where they volunteer weekly with 260 new immigrants from Ethiopia (Dec. 17, 2008).

Atid Bamidbar's New Home
Located in Yeruham but serving the entire Negev region, ATID BAMIDBAR works to empower the local community, connects diverse Negev communities around Jewish and Israeli culture, and promotes communal, cultural, educational, and tourism initiatives.

In the program, local women host visiting groups in their homes for an enriching multicultural culinary and human experience. The encounter gives visitors a great meal, warm hospitality, and insight into the lives of local residents and Jewish ethnic traditions.

  Grants of $360,000 approved for the building from an Israeli donor and the Robert Russell Foundation in Miami.

  Contract signed to sublet land from the Yeroham Municipality.

  Architect Zeev Gur and a team of expert consultants are working on the detailed building plans, in order to apply for a construction permit.
